Welcome to Laura Orzehoski
Laura Orzehoski is a Philadelphia-based trombonist who is currently enrolled in Jazz Studies at Manhattan School of Music. She is also an alumni from Temple University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and was the Boyer College of Music and Dance Class of 2024 Commencement Speaker.
Laura has performed at multiple venues across the East Coast and is a member of the all-female big band, The Grace Fox Big Band and a former member of the Grammy Nominated Big Band The Temple University Jazz Band under the direction of Terell Stafford. Laura is the former lead trombonist of the New York Youth Symphony Big Band.
Although still a full-time graduate student, Laura is currently featured on the Grace Fox Big Band's debut album “Eleven O’ Seven” and as a trombonist in the TUJB, she has had the pleasure to play at Jazz at the Lincoln Center's Rose Hall, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, and Philadelphia's own Kimmel center. Laura also performed in multiple ensembles at Temple University and is her own band leader of The Laura Orzehoski Quintet.
